” I am deeply disappointed with the treatment my daughter received at Blyth Academy. We trusted the school to provide a safe and supportive environment for our child, as she traveled from London to Canada to complete her 12th grade. Embarrassing behaviour from the school includes ; the supposed use of “weed” (To which she expressed consent to an on person search and was told to leave) with no communication, she was at the school for exactly 1 week on the 3rd day. Despite having paid significant fees for her education, including tuition, insurance, and travel expenses, the school failed to offer any opportunity for my daughter to address the situation before making such a drastic decision. We were not informed of this issue in a timely manner, and no report was filed, which raises questions about the handling of this situation. The lack of proper procedure and transparency has left me with emotional and financial turmoil truth be told. Furthermore, we were shocked to learn that the school had assigned other students to follow her outside the school compound, essentially spying on her, further increasing her sense of anxiety and isolation. This behavior was unprofessional and invasive, and it compounded the emotional toll this situation has had on her well-being. In addition to these concerns, I would also like to point out the clear lack of diversity within the classrooms at the Lawrence Park campus. This lack of representation in the student body is deeply concerning, especially at an institution that prides itself on being an inclusive educational environment. It only adds to the sense of alienation my daughter felt during her short time there. We believe that the school focused more on its financial interests rather than on the well-being and future of a young student who had traveled a great distance to study. This experience has caused severe anxiety and depression for our daughter, and we do not believe the school should retain the full payment for services not properly delivered. We hope that future students and parents will be treated with greater respect and fairness, and that the school will take accountability for its actions. “

” Night school teacher seemed inexperienced, uninterested and unenthusiastic. He wasn’t a trained teacher nor an expert/professional in the field of math. Many absences. Unfortunately this course wasn’t a positive or quality experience, considering it’s such an expensive course. Very disappointing. “

” I was a full-time student at Blyth LP from grades 11-12. This school has made immensely positive impact on my educational journey with a supportive and caring learning environment. The teachers and staff truly care about making a difference and have helped me reach my full potential. “

” I would not recommend Blyth Academy to anyone. Very tricky fine print, and strict no-refund policy. The teacher my daughter had was useless. Never responded to her emails in a timely manner, continuously missed scheduled meetings, took forever to grade work, & unable to provide helpful feed-back. Complete waste of money. “

” My son was not reaching his full potential at public high school. It was too big and he didn’t feel connected or motivated. When he joined Blyth Lawrence Park things improved steadily for a number of reasons. The classes are smaller with typically between 6 and 10 students which means that teachers had more time to spend helping students and were able to focus on individual needs. With the small classes the teachers get to know each student individually and forge a good relationship, this is something that never happened in the public system. The standards of the teachers are very high both in terms of personal character and qualifications, they are highly motivated and passionate about teaching. They really make a difference. Our son continues to thrive both academically and socially. He is enjoying school for the first time since grade school. He continuously receives good guidance counselling which has opened his mind to different options of study which he had never considered before. and this is helping him decide what he would like to study at university. We are happy with our decision to send our son to Blyth for grades 11 and 12 and are glad to see him enjoying school and learning again. “
